Abstract:
A chromium-free passivator with a hydrophobic surface property for plated metal, comprising: 0.5-30 g/L of silicate, 0.01-1 g/L of a nanometer material, and 0.1-10 g/L of one or more of a silane coupling agent, a titanate coupling agent, and a water-based wax emulsion. Also disclosed is a method for passivating plated metal by using a passivator.
