Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: chuck mechanism in which appearance is not impaired even if a chamfered section for improving safety is formed; and a method for manufacturing the chuck mechanism. This chuck mechanism is provided with a chuck body. The chuck body has a front surface, a first chamfered section, an outer peripheral surface, and a groove section. A jaw for gripping a workpiece is installed on the front surface. The first chamfered section is formed in a curved surface-like shape between a peripheral edge section of the front surface and the outer peripheral surface. The groove section has a first groove section. The first groove section is formed on the front surface side of the first chamfered section, extends in the circumferential direction of the chuck body, and has a ring-like shape.
