Abstract:
A spindle motor, according to the present invention, comprises: a bearing housing; a rotary shaft which is rotatably supported by the bearing housing; a rotor which is fixed to the rotary shaft; a stator which is arranged on the inner surface of the rotor with a specific distance therebetween, and which is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the bearing housing; and a chucking device, which is fixed to the rotary shaft, for fixing a disk, wherein the chucking device comprises a turntable, which is coupled to the rotary shaft and on which the disk is seated, an elevating member, which is arranged at an upper portion of the turntable so as to rise and fall vertically, for supporting the disk when the disk is seated on the table, a yoke member, which is fixed to the upper end of the rotary shaft, for supporting the elevating member so as to rise and fall and preventing the elevating member from separating, and an elastic force provision portion, which is integrally formed on the elevating member, for providing elastic force to the elevating member, thereby reducing the number of parts and simplifying the manufacturing process.
