Title:
CIRCUIT ARRANGEMENT FOR GENERATING AN IQ SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2003107528
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to circuit arrangements for generating an IQ voltage signal or current signal, consisting of an I part and of a Q part that is orthogonal thereto, said parts having approximately the same amplitudes. Said signal is generated from an electric input signal whose frequency varies in a relatively slight manner from a carrier frequency. These circuit arrangements function without a complex mixer but rather by means of an ohmic resistance and at least one reactance. The impedance of the reactance associated with the carrier frequency corresponds at least approximately to the value of the ohmic resistance. Parts I and Q can each be tapped according to the selected reactance and to the frequency signs that are taken into account. An IQ voltage signal is preferably generated during which the I part and Q part each have a relationship to a reference potential, as a rule, to the ground. The circuit arrangement, on the output side, is preferably integrated into a band-pass filter.
