Title:
CIRCUIT ARRANGEMENT FOR THE SENSORLESS OPERATION OF A UNIVERSAL MOTOR OF A DOMESTIC DEVICE AND CORRESPONDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2009/118299
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a circuit arrangement (10) for operating a universal motor (11) which is designed to drive a drum of a domestic device for treating items of laundry, said universal motor (11) comprising a stator with at least one field winding (12) and a rotor (13) which is received to be rotationally displaceable and which has a rotor winding that is coupled to the at least one field winding (12) via a commutation unit. The field winding (12) and the rotor winding are arranged between a first and a second connection pole (14, 15) of the universal motor (11). The circuit arrangement further comprises an electronic unit (18) having a control and/or regulation unit (19) which is designed to detect a speed (n) of the universal motor (11). The circuit arrangement is characterized in that a voltage detection unit (59) detects an electric rotor voltage dropping on the rotor winding and in that the control and/or regulation unit (19) is designed to determine the speed (n) of the universal motor (1) depending on the rotor voltage.
