Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a circuit breaker in which, even if a large dimensional tolerance is set, a smooth reciprocating motion of a shaft or a movable conductor is maintained over a long period of time, and a contact failure at an electrode unit does not easily occur. To solve said problem, this circuit breaker is characterized by comprising: a container; a fixed electrode that is fixed to the container via a fixed conductor so as to be mounted inside the container; a movable electrode that is fixed to the tip portion of a movable conductor so as to face the fixed electrode, and supplies or interrupts an electric current by coming into contact with or separating from the fixed electrode; and a bearing that is fixed to the container and slidably supports the movable conductor to which the movable electrode is fixed. The bearing has an opening, through the central portion of which the movable conductor is inserted such that the opening supports the movable conductor. The diameters of both ends of the opening are wider than the central portion. In the cross-section of the opening parallel to the axial direction thereof, a straight incline is formed near each end of the opening.
