Abstract:
A remote data collection for a circuit breaker panel is disclosed. Circuit panel current and/or time data is collected from one or more intelligent circuit breakers having built in data acquisition. The data are communicated to a host computer. Simultaneously the line voltage is measured and specific load power and energy usage of each breaker is calculated in real-time at the host computer. The specific load power and energy usage of each breaker is transmitted to a remote computer, which may be a homeowner's personal computer, for analysis and control.
