Abstract:

A circuit device 100 includes an image acquisition circuit 130 for acquiring display images, and an error detection circuit 150 for detecting errors in the display images. The error detection circuit 150: derives a histogram of the pixel values of the display images; computes a correlation using the histogram; derives, on the basis of the result of the correlation computation, an index indicating the degree of dissimilarity between a foreground image which is an image of a given region among the display images and a background image corresponding to the background of the foreground image among the display images; and detects errors on the basis of the index.
