Abstract:
An abnormality management circuit of an ECU (1) is provided with a microcomputer (5), a reset circuit (3) that resets the microcomputer (5), a monitor circuit (4) that monitors the operation of the microcomputer (5), and an output circuit (6) that drives an external actuator. An abnormality determination signal output unit (41) of the monitor circuit (4) outputs an abnormality determination signal (10) to the output circuit (6) when a normal monitor signal (12) of the microcomputer (5) cannot be confirmed within an abnormality determination time (T1). Further, a reset determination signal output unit (42) of the monitor circuit (4) outputs a reset determination signal (11) to the reset circuit (3) when a normal monitor signal (12) of the microcomputer (5) cannot be confirmed within a Built-In Self Test (BIST) completion time (T2) of the microcomputer (5), or within a reset determination time (T3) that is set longer than the abnormality determination time (T1).
