Abstract:
This circular polarization element 100 comprises: a linear polarization light-emitting plate 10; and a λ／４phase-difference plate 20 which is layered onto the linear polarization light-emitting plate 10. The circular polarization element generates circular polarization having a circular polarization purity of greater than 10%. The linear polarization light-emitting plate 10 may be a plate containing a light-emitting material, or may be an elongated plate. A linear polarization filter 30 may be disposed between the linear polarization light-emitting plate 10 and the λ／４phase-difference plate 20.
