Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a circular polarizing plate capable of constituting an image display device which can, even when the image display device is viewed in a folded state, suppress light, showing different colors depending on the areas, from being viewed. [Solution] This circular polarizing plate is usable in a folded state and has a reflection prevention layer, a linear polarizing plate, and a λ/4 phase difference plate, in this order, wherein Re(550) [nm] represents an in-plane phase difference value of the λ/4 phase difference plate at a wavelength 550 nm, Re(550) satisfies the relationship of formula (1a): 141 nm ≤ Re(550) ≤ 180 nm or formula (2a): 95 nm ≤ Re (550) ≤ 134 nm.
