Title:
CIRCULARLY POLARIZED LIGHT-EMITTING COMPOSITION, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND CIRCULARLY POLARIZED LIGHT-EMITTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/099110
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A circularly polarized light-emitting composition including a host-guest complex and being characterized by an oriented and fixed light-emitting guest molecule having induced chirality, said host-guest complex comprising: a supramolecular oriented body having two-dimensional chirality and comprising associated chiral self-orienting host molecules having a host functional group; and a light-emitting guest molecule oriented and fixed, by intermolecular interaction, to the host functional group oriented on the basis of the two-dimensional chirality of the supramolecular oriented body. This circularly polarized light-emitting composition has excellent CPL intensity even if the light-emitting guest molecule does not have chirality, because the circularly polarized light-emitting composition induces chirality in the light-emitting guest molecule by intermolecular interaction with host functional groups oriented on the basis of the two-dimensional chirality of the supramolecular oriented body.
