A circulating fluidized bed gasification furnace comprising a combustion furnace (1), a cyclone dust collector (4) for collecting a circulation medium (5) by introducing combustion gas (3) taken out from the combustion furnace (1), a fluidized bed gasification furnace (8) that forms a fluidized bed (10) by introducing through a downcomer (7) the circulation medium (5) collected by the cyclone dust collector (4) and supplying a gasification agent (9) from below and that gasifys a material (12) by supplying the material (12) to a free board (11), and a circulation channel (14) for returning the circulation medium and not-gasified, non-reacted char in the fluidized bed gasification furnace (8) back to the combustion furnace (1), wherein the lower end of the downcomer (7) connected with the cyclone dust collector (4) is connected with the free board (11) of the fluidized bed gasification furnace (8) through a sealed portion (18), and a material feeder (20) for feeding the material (12) to the circulation medium (5) between the sealed portion (18) and the free board (11) is provided.
