Abstract:

Provided is a circulating-type multi-layer furnace, comprising a circulation unit (2) that feeds air to cause a bed material to circulate while burning sludge, and a post-combustion unit (3) that feeds air into pyrolysis gas from the circulation unit (2) causing thorough combustion, in which a first control process is carried out for feeding air separately in prescribed proportions to the circulation unit (2) and the post-combustion unit (3) at the flow rate required for complete combustion of the quantity of sludge being input, wherein, if the flow rate of air being fed to the circulation unit (2) in the first control process is below the flow rate required to cause circulation of the bed material, a second control process is applied in place of the first control process so that, of the air with the flow rate necessary for complete combustion, air is fed to the circulation unit (2) at the minimum flow rate necessary to cause the bed material to circulate in the circulation unit (2) and the remaining air is fed to the post-combustion unit (3).
