Abstract:
Provided is a circulation component retainer with which damage to the circulation component and flying out of balls can be prevented. The circulation component (20) is a tubular resin member formed substantially in a C shape having a leg section (21) at both ends and an intermediate section (22) arranged between the leg sections (21). The circulation component (20) is attached to a nut (2) such that the leg sections (21) are inserted from the outer-surface side of the nut (2) into a pair of through-holes (13) opening at the outer surface of the nut (2) and communicating with a spiral groove (2a) in the nut (2), and the intermediate section (22) is positioned on the outer surface of the nut (2). The metal circulation component retainer (30), which is for securing the circulation component (20) to the nut (2), is equipped with an intermediate section retaining part (32), which retains the intermediate section (22) so as to cover the entire portion of the surface of the intermediate section (22) that protrudes from the outer surface of the nut (2), and leg section retaining parts (31), which retain the leg sections (21) so as to cover the entire portion of the surface of the leg sections (21) that protrudes from the outer surface of the nut (2).
