Abstract:
This clamp device is provided with a first clamp unit having clamping members that are disposed so as to face each other on both sides in a lamination direction in a battery assembly, and that clamp an end surface on one side and an end surface on the other side in the lamination direction in the battery assembly by means of pressing. At least one of the clamping members has a first clamp chuck and a second clamp chuck that are capable of coming in contact with a side end of the battery assembly. The first clamp chuck and the second clamp chuck are disposed so as to protrude to opposite sides of each other in the lamination direction, and rotate together around a rotating shaft between the first clamp chuck and the second clamp chuck. The rotating shaft is disposed in a position closer to the second clamp chuck than the first clamp chuck. Thus, the clamp position can thus easily be altered with respect to the battery assembly can easily be altered according to the specifications of a battery pack.
