Abstract:
A clamping device (C) comprises a clamp body (1), a gripping member (2), a clamp rod (3), a scraper (26), and a drive means (5). The gripping member (2) is composed of one or more grip forming members (21) which are located on the outer peripheral side of the clamp rod (3). The clamp rod (3) is provided with an intermediate stage rod section (33) which is an intermediate stage portion of the clamp rod (3); and a tapered section (34) which is formed in the upper end portion of the clamp rod (3), this upper end portion extending upward from this intermediate stage rod section (33), and the outside diameter of this tapered section (34) increasing toward the upper portion thereof, and which is capable of driving the one or more grip forming members (21) in the direction of enlarging the outside diameter thereof. The tapered section (34) comprises one or more tapered flat surfaces (35) which are abutted in a surface contact manner by one or more grip claw sections (22) of the one or more grip forming members (21); and one or more partial conical surfaces (36) which are formed between the lower edges of the one or more tapered flat surfaces (35), and the radii of which increase toward the upper portion. In the vicinity of the scraper (26), a cross section which consists of the cross section of the clamp rod and the cross sections of the one or more grip forming members and which perpendicularly intersects the axis of the clamp rod, is formed to a circular shape.
