Abstract:
A clay toy system based on augmented reality and digital image processing and a method therefor. The system comprises an image collection module, an AR identification module, a display, an arithmetic unit and an I/O interactive control system, wherein the image collection module is used for collecting an image or image data of a physical clay model and transmitting same to the AR identification module; the AR identification module is used for generating a corresponding three-dimensional clay model for the acquired image data of the physical clay model and transmitting same to the arithmetic unit; the arithmetic unit is used for carrying out special effect processing on the acquired three-dimensional clay model, adding an audio sound effect, matching an action, and transmitting the model to the display for displaying; and the I/O interactive control system is used for controlling the arithmetic unit, such control comprising selecting the added special effect, audio sound effect and action. A memory is used for storing data concerning the special effect, the audio sound effect and the action. The system extends the ways in which a traditional clay toy can be played with and solves the problem of the identification of a non-planar entity by means of augmented reality technology.
