Abstract:
A cleaning robot system and a method of controlling the cleaning robot system which are adapted for cleaning, with high work efficiency and economy, plate-like members such as solar cell panels and reflecting mirrors which are used in solar light and solar heat generation systems. A cleaning robot system (1) for cleaning planar or curved plate-like members (4a, 4b) such as panels for solar light generation or reflecting mirrors for solar heat generation. The robot system (1) comprises: a large number of cleaning robots (2) having a function of traveling on a plate-like member (4) which is to be cleaned and a function of cleaning a plate-like member (4); and arranging robots (3) each having a conveying function for moving the cleaning robots (2) from the first plate-like member (4a) to the second plate-like member (4b). The cleaning robots (2) each have a suction mechanism for performing cleaning while attaching to the plate-like member (4) and are configured in such a manner that the large number of the cleaning robots (2) and the arranging robots (3) which are less in number than the cleaning robots (2) cooperate each other to clean the plate-like member (4) provided to a solar light or solar heat generation plant.
