Abstract:
Roll bodies (3) consist of a porous material having elasticity in a wet state. Rotating shafts (2) of the roll bodies (3) are inserted through inner diameter sections of the roll bodies (3) and fixedly support the roll bodies (3). When the rotating shafts (2) are rotated and flat surfaces (11) to be cleaned, which are arranged substantially parallel to the rotating shafts (2), are rotated about an imaginary rotation axis (12) provided in an imaginary plane substantially perpendicular to the rotating shafts (2), outer peripheral portions of the roll bodies (3) make rotational contact with the rotating surfaces (11) to be cleaned, causing the roll bodies (3) to perform scrub cleaning of the surfaces (11). The outer peripheral portions of the roll bodies (3) each include a center region (6) making contact with that inner region (13) of a surface (11) to be cleaned which is near the imaginary rotation axis (12) and also each include outer end regions (7) making contact with that outer region (14) of the surface (11) to be cleaned which is spaced from the imaginary rotation axis (12). The contact strength, during one rotation of the roll bodies (3), of the outer peripheral portions of the roll bodies (3) with the surfaces to be cleaned is set such that the contact strength in the center region (6) is lower than the contact strength in the outer end regions (7).
