Abstract:
[Problem] To easily clean ferrule end faces in optical connector receptacles having differently shaped housings. [Solution] This cleaning tool is characterized by comprising a tool body and a head that presses a cleaning body against an object-to-be-cleaned on a press surface, and having an extension part that extends from the tool body, wherein: the extension part is provided with an inner guide part into which the head is inserted and an outer guide part into which the inner guide part is inserted; when cleaning a first optical connector, an outer circumferential section of the outer guide part guides the head with respect to a ferrule end face of the first optical connector; and when cleaning a second optical connector having a housing that is shaped differently from that of the first optical connector, the outer guide part is retracted and the inner guide part is exposed to the second optical connector such that an outer circumferential section of the inner guide part guides the head with respect to a ferrule end face of the second optical connector.
