Abstract:
Disclosed are a clear paint composition which shows good dispersibility of an inorganic UV absorber, has high UV absorption ratio and visible light transmissivity even in the case where a coating film has a large film thickness, can reduce the production time, and can be produced by small dispersion equipment; and a method for producing the clear paint composition. Specifically disclosed are a clear paint composition comprising a dispersion and a binder component, wherein the dispersion contains surface-treated fine particles which are obtained by surface-treating an inorganic UV absorber having an average primary particle diameter of 10 to 50 nm with an amino group-containing alkoxysilane and dispersed using an acid group-containing dispersant; and a method for producing the clear paint composition.
