Abstract:
The present invention sets composite modules provided with a communication function and a prescribed function, such as a sensor function or a drive function for the purpose of changing a state, to simplify a communication protocol for the purpose of lowering the cost of the composite modules and making the same more energy efficient. A unit with which composite modules or devices are shared or generalized is defined, and a network system is formed by the unit and a system controller. Communication is carried out between the composite modules and the system controller, using a simplified communication protocol adapted to the characteristics of the composite modules. The system controller divides a plurality of units into sections and manages the same, and also holds information relating to the section to which each unit belongs. The system controller controls communication within the network system, and communicates information with outside the network system as well.
