CLIP FOR CONNECTING ELECTRONIC PARTS FEEDING
TAPE, CLIP RIBBON HAVING THE SAME AND CONNECTING
INSTRUMENT OF ELECTRONIC PARTS FEEDING TAPE
USING THE SAME Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape, a clip ribbon having the same and a connecting instrument of electronic parts feeding tape using the same, more particularly, to a clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape which is convenient to carry and is able to readily perform the connection task, a clip ribbon and a connecting instrument of electronic parts feeding tape having the same. Background Art
[2] Generally, the electronic parts like the IC chip is very weak in the foreign material including the dust and the like. Therefore, these electronic parts are stored in a specific means, that is, a feeding tape and the like, which isolates electronic parts from outside before being supplied to an electronic parts mounting instrument, and then, they are supplied. Such feeding tape includes a carrier which stores electronic parts, and a tape for shutting the electronic parts stored in the carrier tightly, while it is usually mounted on a tape feeder with the state of being winded in a reel.
[3] In the meantime, when the parts mounting process is progressed by mounting the tape feeder to the electronic parts mounting instrument, in case the feeding tape rolled around the reel is altogether disentangled to be exhausted, the reel which exhausted the feeding tape should be replaced by a new reel in which the feeding tape is rolled.
[4] At this time, after replacing the reel in the tape feeder, an operator connects the last part of the feeding tape which has been disentangled in the exhausted reel to the first part of the feeding tape which has been disentangled in the newly replaced reel so that the electronic parts be continually supplied. The tool which is used for this connection is a clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape and a connecting instrument of electronic parts feeding tape. Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 show an example of a clip for connecting the conventional electronic parts feeding tape, and Fig. 3 shows a connecting instrument for connecting the electronic parts feeding tape by using such clip.
[5] Fig. 1 is an illustrative view showing the method for connecting the feeding tape with a clip for connecting the electronic parts feeding tape according to a conventional
example. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the feeding tape connected by the clip of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a front view showing an example of the conventional connecting instrument of electronic parts feeding tapefor connecting the electronic parts feeding tape with the clip of Fig. 1.
[6] Firstly, referring to Figs. 1 and 2, a feeding tape 600, 600' has an indexing hole 610,
610' which is punched in the vicinity of the edge of one side or both sides. A storage portion 620, 620' is formed to store electronic parts. On the upper side of the storage portion 620, 620', a tape (not shown) for shutting the electronic parts stored in the storage portion 620, 620' tightly is adhered. In addition, a conventional clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 700 for connecting the feeding tape 600, 600' has a hole 710 which is punched and equally-spaced with the indexing hole 610, 610'. A protrusion 720 of a crown shape is formed in the edge of the hole 710.
[7] Therefore, firstly, the operator drives the conventional connecting instrument of electronic parts feeding tapeof Fig. 3 to connect the feeding tape 600, 600' with the following method. That is, the operator brings in touch with the ends of the feeding tapes 600, 600' which are to be connected and disposes them so that the hole 710 of the clip 700 be coincide with the indexing holes 610, 610' of the feeding tapes 600, 600'. Then, the operator compress the clip 700 by using the connection instrument. Thus, the protrusion 720 of the clip 700 is bended in the outer circumferential edge of indexing hole 610, 610' of the feeding tape 600, 600' and rigidly binds the feeding tape 600, 600'.
[8] However, in case the feeding tapes 600, 600' are connected by using the conventional clip 700 and the connection instrument, there is a problem in that the protrusion 720 penetrates into the indexing holes 610, 610' of the feeding tapes 600, 600' in the compression of the clip 700 such that the shape or the size of the indexing hole 610,610' is transformed. In this case, there is a problem in that the jamming is frequently occurred in the tape feeder (not shown) which supplies the feeding tape 600, 600' such that the driving of the whole mounting instrument is paused. Additionally, there is a problem that the conventional electronic parts feeding tape connection clip is difficult to supply a clip with the automated process for the connection task of the feeding tapes.

[24] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached Fig. 4 to Fig. 10. However, the present invention is not restricted to the embodiments explained in this document and can be embodied with a different form. Rather, the embodiment introduced here is provided in such a manner that the disclosed content be thoroughly and completely implemented and the concept of the present invention be enough to be delivered to the person skilled in the art. The same elements are indicated with the same reference numerals through a whole specification.
[25] Fig. 4 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of a clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape of the invention and a clip ribbon having it, Fig. 5 is a drawing enlarging A part of Fig. 4.
[26] Hereinafter, firstly, referring to Figs. 4 and 5, the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape of the invention, and the clip ribbon having it will be described.
[27] As shown, the clip ribbon for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape of the invention includes a plurality of clips for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 arranged in a width direction with the same form, and a connector 90 which is combined in both ends of the longitudinal direction of the clips 80 to connect the clips for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80. At this time, both the clip 80 and the connector 90 can be formed with the metal material like copper.
[28] In detail, each clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 includes a body
81 of the strip shape, a groove for fixing 84 formed in both sides of the longitudinal direction of the body 81 respectively, a plurality of feedholes 85 which is arranged with a same interval between the grooves for fixing 84 is formed to penetrate the body 81, being arranged with the same interval with respect to the groove for fixing 84, a penetration hole 82 which penetrates the body 81 while being arranged between both sides of the longitudinal direction of the body 81 and the feedholes 85, and between the feedhole 85 and the groove for fixing 84, and a connecting protrusion 83 which is formed to be protruded in the circumference of the penetration holes 82.
[29] The connecting protrusion 83 is bent with being inserted into indexing holes 75, 75' of the feeding tapes 70, 70' respectively, thereby, the feeding tapes 70, 70' are connected. Here, the penetration holes 82 can be arranged to be mutually equally- spaced. Therefore, the connecting protrusions 83 which are formed respectively in the circumference of the penetration holes 82 can be arranged to be mutually equally- spaced.
[30] Additionally, the feedhole 85 can be arranged to be equally-spaced with the indexing holes 75, 75 which are formed in the feeding tapes 70, 70'. In this case, the feedhole 85 of the clip 80 mounted on the feeding tapes 70, 70' can perform the role of the indexing holes 75, 75' of the feeding tapes 70, 70' in order to interconnect the feeding tapes 70, 70'. In addition, the groove for fixing 84 is formed to be extended to the direction meeting at right angle with respect to the longitudinal direction of the body 81.
[31] That is, in a connecting instrument for feeding tape 101 and the like, the groove for fixing 84 may be formed to be opened in a direction to which the clip 80 is supplied. For instance, in the connecting instrument for feeding tape 101 and the like, when the clip 80 is supplied with the direction of T, the groove for fixing 84 of the clip 80 can be formed with a shape which is opened to the direction of being supplied, that is, with 'U' shape.
[32] In this case, the groove for fixing 84 of the clip 80 caught a protrusion 119 which is formed in advance in the connecting instrument for feeding tape 101, thereby, guiding the pause location of the clip 80, that is, the connection location of the feeding tapes 70, 70'. Hence, since the clip 80 and the clip ribbon equipped with this include such grooves for fixing 84, the auto feed to the connection location of the feeding tapes 70, 70 is possible.
[33] As another preferred embodiment, in the connecting instrument for feeding tape 101, when the clip 80 is supplied with the direction of 'J,', the groove for fixing 84 of the clip 80 can be formed with a shape which is opened to the direction of being supplied, that is, with 'n' shape.
[34] In the meantime, the connector 90 can be formed with a shape which is similar to the body 81 of the clip 80, that is, with a strip shape. And the part in which the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 and the connector 90 are connected can be formed with a neck shape respectively. That is, the width of the part in which the grips 80 and the connector 90 are connected can be formed to be narrower than surroundings.
[35] In this case, the connecting instrument for feeding tape 101 which interconnects the feeding tapes 70, 70' by making use of these cut this connection part by using a cutter 120. At this time, as the connection part is formed with a neck shape, the connecting instrument for feeding tape 101 is very easily able to cut, this neck part.
[36] Referring to Figs. 6 to 10, the connecting instrument for feeding tape 101 of the invention will be illustrated in detail.
[37] As shown in the drawings, the connecting instrument of electronic parts feeding tape
101 includes a bottom body 110 on the upper portion of which a tape arrangement part 111 which is prepared in such a manner that the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70' which are to be interconnected are arranged with a straight line form, a clip supplying part 115 for supplying the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 for connecting the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70' in the direction meeting at right angle with the straight line which is made by the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70', and a tape connection part 118 which is prepared in the part in which the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70' and the clips 80 are intersected are disposed; a top body 130 which is disposed at the upper portion of the bottom body 110 so as to pressurize the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 which is supplied to tape connection part 118, and is hinge-coupled to the bottom body 110; and a pressurization handle 150 which is hinge-coupled to the bottom body 110 so as to be circulatable with a given angle, being hinge-coupled to the top body 130 in such a manner that the top body 130 pressurizes the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 which is supplied to the tape connection part 118 in the circulation.
[38] In detail, the tape arrangement part 111 can be formed in the upper side of the front- end of the bottom body 110, and can be formed in the width direction of the bottom body 110 so that the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70' which are to be interconnected be arranged in the width direction of the bottom body 110. And the clip supplying part 115 can be formed to supply the clips for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 in the longitudinal direction of the bottom body 110.
[39] Therefore, the tape connection part 118 prepared in the part in which the straight line made by the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70' intersects with the clips 80 for connecting an electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70' can be formed in the upper side of the front-end of the bottom body 110. Preferably, the tape connection part 118 can be formed in the lower side of the central part the tape arrangement part 111.
[40] Additionally, in the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70', the indexing holes 75, 75' can be formed respectively. A protrusion for tape mounting 113 can be formed in the tape arrangement part 111 in such a manner that each of the indexing holes 75, 75' of the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70' which are to be interconnected is inserted. Hence, in the electronic parts feeding tapes 70, 70' which are to be interconnected, the indexing holes 75, 75' are inserted into the protrusion 113 for tape mounting respectively, so that it can be arranged and mounted on the tape arrangement part 111.
[41] Further, in the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80, the grooves for fixing 84 opened in the direction of supplying can be formed. A protrusion for the clip catching can be formed in the tape connection part 118 in such a manner that the grooves for fixing 84 of the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 supplied to the tape connection part 118 is caught. Therefore, in the clip 80 supplied by the clip supplying part 115, the grooves for fixing 84 are inserted into the protrusion for clip catching 119, so that it can be paused in the tape connection part 118 which is the connection location of the feeding tape 70, 70'.
[42] And, the connector 90 which is combined respectively to both ends of the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 can be supplied to the tape connection part 118 together with the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80. In other words, the feeding tape connecting clip 80 can be supplied to the tape connection part 118 with a clip ribbon-shape. In this case, when the top body 130 pressurizes the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 which is supplied to the tape connection part 118, in the tape connection part 118, a cutter 120 which separates the pressurized clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 from the connector 90 can be installed. Therefore, when the top body 130 pressurizes the clip for connecting an electronic parts feeding tape 80 which is supplied to the tape connection part 118, the connection part of the clip 80 and the connector 90 is cut by the cutter 120, and the clip 80 is separated from the connector 90.
[43] In the meantime, in the upper side of the bottom body 110, a compressed spring (not shown) for automatizing the supply of the clip of the clip supplying part 115 or the clip auto supply member (not shown) connected to such compressed spring can be further installed. In this case, the compressed spring or the clip auto supply member connected to such compressed spring push out the supplied clips 80 from the back side to the front side such that the supplied clip 80 is automatically supplied.
[44] The reference numeral 151 indicates a link member which hinge-couples the pres- surization handle 150 and the bottom body 110 respectively. The reference numeral 135, 152, and 153 indicate the hinges respectively. As described above, the connecting instrument for feeding tape 101 of this embodiment has the advantage that the feeding tapes 70, 70' can be effectively connected and the clips 80 can be readily cut from the connector 90, even though it has a simple structure. Further, the connecting instrument for feeding tape 101 of this embodiment has the advantage that it can be miniaturized due to the simple structure, thereby, the carrying is convenient, and it can be made and used with a low cost.
[45] As mentioned above, the present invention has been explained with reference to the illustrated embodiment, but it is just exemplary. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variation can be made in the present invention without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention cover the modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
