Abstract:
When looking at the time on a conventional clock, it is difficult to immediately comprehend supplemental information, so said information is often not fully utilized and is not generally noticed by all age groups. To correct this problem, the disclosed clock is provided with: a time display dial plate which, with an outer shape like the contours of a face, has display capabilities on substantially the entire surface; a display information holding unit which holds display information which can be displayed on a display; an external information acquisition unit for acquiring external information; a correspondence information holding unit for holding correspondence information which associates the aforementioned external information and the aforementioned display information; and a dial plate control unit which uses the aforementioned external information and the aforementioned correspondence information to acquire from the aforementioned display information holding unit the display information which is to be displayed on the aforementioned display and displays the same on the aforementioned display.
