Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a clock screw, which has a deep and dark interference blue color enhancing decorativeness, a high scratch resistance and a high corrosion resistance, and a method for manufacturing the same.
To solve this problem, provided is a clock screw that comprises a steel screw substrate containing 0.5-1.0 mass% of carbon, an oxide layer with a thickness of 60-80 nm disposed on the screw substrate, and a fluorine coating layer disposed on the oxide layer. Also provided is a method for manufacturing the aforesaid clock screw, said method comprising: a step for preparing the screw substrate; a step for heating the screw substrate in the air atmosphere for 30 minutes or longer at a temperature not higher than 300°C to form the oxide layer; and a step for forming the fluorine coating layer on the oxide layer.
