Abstract:
In order to provide a clogging prevention control device for a drain pump, an air conditioner, and a clogging prevention control method for a drain pump, with which clogging can be prevented automatically, this clogging prevention control device (6), which is applied to a drain pump (4) in which drainage water accumulated in a drain pan (3) is drawn in from a suction opening (7) and discharged from a discharge opening (8) connected to a pipe (5) extending upward, is equipped with: an acquisition unit for acquiring information pertaining to the operating state of the drain pump (4); a determination unit for determining, on the basis of the information acquired by the acquisition unit, whether clogging has occurred in the suction opening (7) of the drain pump (4); and a backflow control unit for carrying out a backflow control in which the drainage water held in the pipe (5) is made to flow back from the discharge opening (8) to the suction opening (7) when the determination unit has determined that clogging has occurred in the suction opening (7) of the drain pump (4).
