Abstract:

During the extension of a cloth, an extension time is shortened by reducing the moving distance of extension clamps regardless of the kind of the cloth, thereby improving the processing efficiency. The cloth supply system comprises two measurement paths where a pair of parallel conveyor clamps passes while being caused to pass the respective measurement paths and holding the adjacent corners of the upper side of a cloth, a slackness sensor for measuring the degree of slackness of the upper side between the corners of the cloth held by the pair of parallel conveyor clamps passing through the two measurement paths, a plurality of slackness-specific supply paths that branch from the two measurement paths and are determined according to the degree of slackness of the upper side, and a cloth sort/supply control means that causes the pair of conveyor clamps holding the corners of the cloth to pass through two slackness-specific supply paths according to the degree of slackness of the upper side from among the plurality of slackness-specific supply paths and hands over the corners of the cloth from the pair of conveyor clamps to a pair of extension clamps located at the two slackness-specific supply paths.
