Abstract:
The disclosed clothes dryer is provided with a drum (1) that accommodates clothes; a heat pump device, wherein a compressor (16) that compresses coolant, a radiator (17), a decompressor (18) that decompresses the high-pressure coolant that had radiated heat at the radiator (17), and a heat sink (19) are connected by ducts in such a manner that the coolant can circulate through in the given order; a circulating air duct (13), wherein an air blower (4) that blows air for drying is disposed along the air duct, and which circulates air for drying in order from the drum (1), passing the heat sink (19) and the radiator (17), and again to the drum (1); an airflow controller that controls the air blower (4), thereby adjusting the airflow of air for drying within the circulating air duct (13); and a compressor controller that controls the rotational frequency of the compressor (16). The compressor controller alters the rotational frequency of the compressor (16) in response to fluctuations in the airflow of air for drying within the circulating air duct (13).
