Title:
CLOTHING FOR COMBATING LOSS OF MUSCLE TONE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/023183
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to the technological sector of clothing and is more specifically related to clothing for combating loss of muscle tone, with the object of containing the weight of subcutaneous body fat on the skin, delaying and preventing loss of muscle tone in the more susceptible regions of the human body. The clothing prevents loss of muscle tone on the internal face of the legs and arms and abdomen, which are areas fairly frequently affected by this condition, and it is made from thin stretch fabrics that adhere to the skin so that the user can wear it on a daily basis like a "second skin", appreciating it for its comfort properties. The fabrics contain the weight of the subcutaneous structures by exerting pressures ranging from 10 to 20 mmHg, with greater pressure being exerted on the skin in the target areas, thereby minimizing the distension of body tissues and preventing constriction points. By way of example, the clothing may be composed of polyamide and elastane, but fabrics having similar properties may be used. The clothing developed for the legs may be Bermuda shorts, stockings or socks, and for the arms it has the format of sleeves that may be joined by coats or T-shirts. In addition, both types may be joined into a single item of clothing, containing the skin at specific points of loss of muscle tone.
