Abstract:
A clothing dryer comprises a drum, a weight detection sensor, a water content detection circuit, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to: determine one category for an object to be dried from among a plurality of categories, on the basis of the weight of the object to be dried, detected by means of the weight detection sensor, and remaining water content information about the object to be dried, acquired by means of the water content detection circuit when a first predetermined time elapses after the start of an initial dry cycle according to an initial control condition; monitoring the reduction status of the remaining water content information of the object to be dried, acquired by the water content detection circuit, so as to determine, on the basis of a reference time and a water content threshold defined in correspondence to the determined category, the dryness level for the object to be dried; and start a main dry cycle according to a control condition determined in correspondence to the determined dryness level.
