Description:
CLOTHING ITEM FOR CONTROLLING THE CORRECT POSITION OF THE

BODY

The invention relates to a clothing item, such as a waistcoat, for controlling the correct position of a user's body.

There is known a clothing item, such as a waistcoat, for controlling the correct position of the body, presented in the patent application US2014/0257153 A1 , which has a front side and a back side, this being applied to the user's body by means of some bands fastened, to one end, on the waistcoat and having at the other end some securing buckles, on the waistcoat, at locations corresponding to the body zones where treatment should be administered, there being fastened some devices for applying the treatment, powered by means of an adequate electrical system.

There is also known a clothing item, such as a waistcoat, for controlling the correct position of the body, presented in the patent application WO2015/021395 A1 , which is provided with some elastic bands for applying tension and maintaing the correct position of muscles when taken on by the user, the waistcoat having some securing bands that can be selectively tensioned from the outside to exert tensions onto the user's shoulders and hips.

The clothing item for controlling the correct position of the body, as claimed by the invention, that may be a therapeutic waistcoat, is provided, at the shoulders level, with some shoulder position transducers, for determining the correct position thereof, and on the central axis of the back, with a spine position transducer for sensing the spinal curvature, to the front side of the therapeutic waistcoat there being arranged some vibrating signalling devices as well as a central control and command unit, UCCC, the shoulder position transducers as well as the spine position transducer being coupled, by means of some power and data cables, to some vibrating signalling devices and, by means of some power and data cables, to the central control and command unit, UCCC.

The clothing item for controlling the correct position of the body, as claimed by the invention, has the following advantages: - may be worn both inside and outside;

- ensures an efficient dynamic postural control;

- accessibility due to the low cost.

There is given hereinafter an embodiment of the invention also in connection with Figs. 1 ... 3, which represent:

- Fig. 1 is a front view of the waistcoat;

- Fig. 2 is a rear view of the waistcoat according to an embodiment of the waistcoat;

- Fig. 3 is the detail A from Fig. 2.

The clothing item for controlling the correct position of the body, as claimed by the invention, may be a therapeutic waistcoat 1 which has a closing system that is known per se, such as, for example a zipper, snap fasteners or buttons, that is not represented in the drawings.

On the therapeutic waistcoat 1 , at the shoulders level there are located some similar shoulder position transducers 2 and 3 for determining the correct position thereof.

On the central axis of the back of the therapeutic waistcoat 1 there is also located a spine position transducer 4 for sensing the spinal curvature.

The shoulder position transducers 2 and 3 as well as the spine position transducer 4 are coupled by means of some power and data cables 5 and 6 and 7, respectively, to some vibrating signalling devices 8 and 9 and 10, respectively, and by means of some power and data cables 11 and 12 to a central control and command unit 13, UCCC.

When the shoulder position transducers 2 and 3 detect deviations from the correct position thereof, they transmit signals to the central control and command unit 13, UCCC which, in its turn, transmits a signal to the vibrating signalling devices 8 and 9 which vibrate, thereby notifying the user that he/she has to correct the shoulder position.

In the same way, when the spinal curvature exceeds the value established as being normal, the spine position transducer 4 transmits a signal to the central control and command unit 13, UCCC which, in its turn, transmits a signal to the vibrating signalling device, thereby notifying the user that he/she should correct the spine position.

Upon restoring the pre-established correct position, the central control and command unit 13, UCCC, commands the ceasing of the action of the vibrating signalling devices 8, 9 and 10.

The clothing item for controlling the correct position of the body, according to an embodiment of the invention and which may be a therapeutic waistcoat 4, which is provided with some flexible side threads 15 and 16, a median thread 17, that are fastened to the upper side of the waistcoat, at the shoulders level, namely at the upper side of the median axis of the waistcoat back.

The lower ends of the side threads 15 and 16 and of the median thread 17, respectively, are fastened to the upper side of some sliders a, b and c for driving some linear side rheostats 18 and 19 and a central rheostat 20,

respectively, said rheostats being fastened in a protection box 21.

At the lower side of the driving sliders a, b and c there are secured some upper ends of some helical springs 22, 23 and 24 the lower ends of which are fixed at the lower side of the protection box 21.

The linear side rheostats 18 and 19 and the central rheostat 20 are coupled, by means of some electrical cables, to a central control and command unit, UCCC, not represented in the drawing, which, in its turn, commands, by means of some cables, some side vibrating signalling devices 25 and 26 and a central signalling device 27.

When the shoulders position or spinal curvature are changed, the driving sliders a, b and c for driving the side rheostats 18, 19 and the central rheostat 20 are driven by the helical springs 22, 23 and 24 thereby causing a variation of the power transmitted to the central control and command unit, UCCC, which transmites a signal to the vibratihg signalling device 25 or 26, corresponding to the shoulder whose position has changed, or to the central signalling device 27 when the spinal curvature has changed.

Upon detecting the vibration of one of the side signaling devices 25 and 26 or of the central signalling device 27, as a consequence of the malposition of one of the shoulders or of the spine, the waistcoat's user will act for correcting the position thereof.
