A clothing treatment device that facilitates clothing treatment by providing a user with information related to clothing owned by the user comprises: a storage unit that stores state information of clothing owned by a plurality of users including a first user and a second user; a communication unit that receives at least one of laundry information, drying information, and location information of the clothing owned by the plurality of users from a server; a camera; a display; and a control unit that updates state information of the clothing owned by the plurality of users on the basis of at least one of the laundry information, the drying information, and the location information of the clothing owned by the plurality of users, controls the display to provide a first user interface for providing state information of clothing owned by the first user when it is determined that an object captured by the camera is the first user, and controls the display to provide a second user interface for providing state information of the clothing owned by the second user when it is determined that the object captured by the camera is the second user.
