Abstract:
An electric motor (20) has: a stator (21) fixed to a housing (12); and a rotor (23) provided rotatably relative to the stator (21). The electric motor (20) can output torque from the rotor (23) when being energized. A rotor bearing (15) supports the rotor (23) rotatably relative to the housing (12). A torque cam (2) is provided on one side of the electric motor (20) in the axial direction thereof, and can change the state of a clutch to an engaged state or a disengaged state by converting a rotational motion caused by the torque from the electric motor (20) into a translational motion that is a movement in the the axial direction relative to the housing (12). A thrust bearing (16) receives a load from the torque cam (2) in the axial direction. The thrust bearing (16) is supported by the rotor bearing (15) in the axial direction.
