Abstract:
A clutch cover assembly configured in such a manner that tabs are formed utilizing portions of a clutch cover and that a diaphragm spring is supported by the tabs, wherein a reduction in the rigidity of the clutch cover is minimized to prevent the disengagement operation of the clutch from becoming sluggish. The clutch cover assembly is provided with a clutch cover (2), a pressure plate (3), and a diaphragm spring (4). The clutch cover (2) can be affixed to a flywheel, has a circular opening (2a) at the center of the clutch cover (2), and is provided, between the inner peripheral portion and the outer peripheral portion of the clutch cover (2), with tabs (13) formed so as to be bent to the flywheel side and to the outer peripheral side, and the inner peripheral edge of the clutch cover (2) continues in an annular shape. The pressure plate (3) sandwiches a friction member between the pressure plate (3) and the flywheel. The diaphragm spring (4) is supported by the tabs (13) of the clutch cover (2).
