Abstract:
Provided is a highly safe clutch device with which the locked state can be maintained reliably even when an excessive load is placed on a second member. This clutch device is equipped with: a lock drum (1) on a first member; an output shaft plate (6) on a second member; a lock spring (3) fitted into the lock drum (1); and an adjustment drum (2) arranged inside the lock spring (3). In the free state the lock spring (3) has an outer diameter slightly larger than the inner diameter of the lock drum (1), and on the lock spring there are formed lock spring stepped parts (3c) comprising a lock spring curved part (3d) and a lock spring bottom part (3e). Lock spring pulling-side contact points (3a) and lock spring pushing-side contact points (3b) are formed respectively on the side of the lock spring curved parts (3d) on which the diameter of the lock spring (3) is contracted and the side on which the diameter is expanded. Lock spring operating pieces (8) that press against the lock spring pulling-side contact points (3a) are provided on the adjustment drum (2), and lock spring pressing pieces (7) that press against the lock spring pushing-side contact points (3b) are provided on the output shaft plate (6).
