Title:
CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1989/009888
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A clutch disc assemby according to the present invention includes a clutch plate (4) and a retaining plate (7) between which an outer circumferential flange (2) is arranged; large-diameter coiled springs (19) inserted in bores (8 and 9) in the plates (4 and 7); and hat-shaped first spring seats (20) disposed at both sides of the large-diameter coiled springs (19). The outer circumferential flange (2) has bores (3) elongated circumferentially beyond those of the corresponding bores (8 and 9) in the plates (4 and 7). Each of the first spring seat (20) is provided in its cylindrical portion (22) with a small-diameter coiled spring (40) of a low torsional rigidity which is partially held in the cylindrical portion (22). The end portion (23) of each small-diameter coiled spring (40) which is on the side of a bottom-opposed portion of the relative first spring seat is provided with a second spring seat (41), which has a coiled spring seating surface (42) which the outer circumferential portion of the second spring seat (41) in a spring-twisted state engages in a flange portion (24) of the relative first spring seat (20). On both sides of each of the bores (8, 9) in the clutch plate (4) and retaining plate (7), a claw (30, 31, 34, 35) is provided unitarily with the second spring seat (41) which is on the opposite side of the rotational direction (R), which claw (30, 31, 34, 35) is adapted to press in a spring-twisted state the second spring seat (41) against the flange portion (24) of the first spring seat (20) which is opposed thereto in the same bore (3).
