Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to extend the retention time of clutch oil, thus allowing efficient cooling of a clutch plate. A clutch hub (42) that is engaged, on the outer circumference thereof, with the clutch plate is press-molded from a single steel plate, and a plurality of clutch-plate-cooling oil grooves (74-4) each extending in the axial direction are formed on an inner circumferential surface thereof at intervals in the circumferential direction. A weir (76) that serves as a press molded section extending radially inward is formed at an end section of each of the oil grooves (74-4). Press molding of the weir (76) is performed by disposing an inner retainer (84) at a rear surface side while pressing a front surface of the clutch hub (42) by means of a punch (82). The weir (76) is formed of an upstanding front surface (76-1) and rear surface (76-2), both of which are molded surfaces obtained by using a molding tool. The rear surface (76-2) is formed in a precipitous manner as long as the inner retainer (84) can be removed therefrom, so that the retention time of clutch oil in the oil groove (74-4) is extended, thus making it possible to improve the cooling efficiency of the clutch plate.
