Abstract:
Provided is a clutch unit that offers enhanced freedom in mounting a member that suppresses rotation of a drive shaft to which torque has been transmitted from the output side. This clutch unit comprises: an engagement release part 55 that is supported by an operating plate 42 as an operating tool so as to be able to rotate around an axis line together with the operating plate 42, and that, due to rotation of an operating lever 40, moves a base part 51 and an engagement part 52 and/or a drive shaft-side engagement member 53 as a whole to an engagement position P1 at which the drive shaft-side engagement member 53 and the engagement part 52 are in contact with each other in a state in which the drive shaft-side engagement member 53 is unable to rotate around the axis line with respect to the base part 51 and the engagement part 52, and to a release position P2 at which the drive shaft-side engagement member 53 and the engagement part 52 are separated from each other in a state in which the drive shaft-side engagement member 53 is able to rotate around the axis line with respect to the engagement part 52; and an elastic member 54 positioned between the drive shaft-side engagement part 53 and the base part 51. The elastic member 54 applies, to the drive shaft-side engagement member 53 and the base part 51, an elastic force which is directed toward the engagement position P1 from the release position P2.
