Abstract:
Provided is a versatile clutch which can be used both in configurations in which a synchronous motor driving the clutch is controlled directly by a switch which is opened and closed in conjunction with the connection state of the clutch, and in configurations in which said motor is controlled by means of signals from an external control unit. The rotational drive force of the synchronous motor (37) is transmitted via a drive force transmission mechanism (6) to a washing tub (3) and a pulsator (4). The drive force transmission mechanism (6) is provided with a clutch (10) which moves a second rotating body (20) in the direction of the axial line (L) to break or allow transmission of the rotational drive force. The clutch (10) is provided with a first and second switch (A, B) which are switched on and off in accordance with the reciprocating rocking motion of a rocking member (34) which moves the second rotating body (20) in the direction of the axial line (L). The first and second switch (A, B) are either integrated in a power supply circuit (C) that supplies power to the synchronous motor (37), or are connected to an external output terminal.
