Abstract:
A co-culture system and method for synthesizing terpene. The system comprises at least one feeding strain of bacteria and at least one production strain of bacteria, wherein the feeding bacteria are used for providing mevalonic acid, and the production strain is used for synthesizing a terpene compound by utilizing the mevalonic acid. The present co-culture system and method can be applied to the production of any terpene, and can improve the total yield of terpene and the conversion rate of valence alkene.
