Title:
COAL LIQUEFACTION METHOD, COAL-BASED MATERIAL HAVING EXCELLENT SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION RESISTANCE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/185306
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a liquefaction method in which coal can be liquefied at sufficiently practical yield at low cost. Coal is heated under ambient pressure at a set temperature in the range of 400°C to 560°C in the presence of a decomposition catalyst and one or more liquefaction aids selected from the group consisting of waste plastic, waste vegetable-based cooking oil, waste animal-based cooking oil, waste tire, waste lubricating oil, palm fruit, coconut fruit, and Jatropha fruit, whereby the coal is thermally decomposed and a thermal decomposition oil containing oils derived from the coal is obtained.
