Abstract:
This coated cutting tool comprises a base material and a coating layer formed in at least a portion of the surface of the base material, the cover layer comprising at least one composite nitride layer that contains a compound comprising a composition represented by (TixAly) N (where x represents the atomic ratio of elemental Ti element with respect to the total of elemental Ti and elemental Al, where y represents the atomic ratio of elemental Al with respect to the total of elemental Ti and elemental Al, where 0.10 ≤ x ≤ 0.50, 0.50 ≤ y ≤ 0.90, x + y = 1 is satisfied), the composite nitride layer comprising a phase where the lattice constant is 0.400-0.430 nm, inclusive, and a phase where the lattice constant is 0.755-0.810 nm, inclusive.
