Abstract:
This coated cutting tool has a hard film including: a b layer composed of a nitride or a carbonitride; a c layer that is a laminated film in which c1 layers, which are made of a nitride or a carbonitride that contains Al in an amount of 55-75 at%, also has a high Cr content ratio, and furthermore contains at least Si, and c2 layers, which are made of a nitride or a carbonitride that contains Al in an amount of 55-75 at% and also contains a high amount of Ti, are alternatingly laminated such that each has a film thickness of 50 nm or less; and a d layer made of a nitride or a carbonitride that contains Al in an amount of 55-75 at% and also has a high content ratio, the Ti content ratio being 20 at% or higher, with respect to the total volume of metal elements (including metalloid elements). The peak intensity Ih originating from an hcp (010) plane of AlN in the c layer, and the sum Is of the peak intensities originating from a plurality of prescribed crystal phases, satisfy the relationship Ih × 100/Is ≤ 15.
