Abstract:

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for producing by curtain coating a coated white paperboard having high whiteness for a product, no uneven whiteness, and favorable print gloss, even when a low-whiteness base paper is used. The problem is solved by a method for producing a coated white paperboard, the method comprising a step for passing a base paper through a curtain film having a plurality of layers and forming on the base paper a curtain coating layer comprising the plurality of layers, including a finish layer that is the outermost coating layer, wherein the whiteness of the finish layer is 85% or higher and the specific scattering coefficient of an undercoat layer adjacent to the finish layer is 80 m2/kg or greater.
