Abstract:
Disclosed is a coating agent which can be cured by irradiation with UV ray. The coating agent contains a water-absorbing filler (21) comprising a natural organic material having an average particle diameter of 0.4 μm or less and the maximum particle diameter of 4 μm or less, and has a viscosity of 30 Pa•s or less. The coating agent is applied to the surface of a substrate (3) to form an ink-receiving layer (2). The coating agent can be prepared by adding the water-absorbing filler to a UV-curable monomer and then performing the wet grinding of the resulting mixture.
