Abstract:

This coating composition comprises: a polyester resin (A) having an acid value of at least 5 mg KOH/g; a polyester resin (B) having an acid value of less than 5 mg KOH/g; and a curing agent having a carboxyl group and a functional group capable of a cross-linking reaction. The coating composition is characterized by having more than 50 parts by mass and no more than 97 parts by mass of the polyester resin (A) and at least 3 parts by mass and less than 50 parts by mass of the polyester resin (B), when the total solids mass of polyester resin (A) and polyester resin (B) is 100 parts by mass. The coating composition: has excellent can production workability whereby metal exposure is effectively prevented even when the coating composition is exposed to harsh processing such as drawing or ironing, etc.; and can form a coating film having excellent coating film peeling resistance whereby the coating film does not peel even during heat treatment after molding.
