Abstract:
A purpose of the present invention is to provide a microporous membrane that is permanently hydrophilic, without clogging fine holes thereof when making the microporous membrane hydrophilic. A means was discovered for making a microporous membrane hydrophilic without hindering the permeability of the microporous membrane by coating the microporous membrane with only a multifunctional acrylamide monomer. The present invention provides a coating composition that includes a multifunctional acrylamide monomer compound and is for making a microporous membrane hydrophilic, as well as a hydrophilic microporous membrane that has been coated with a polymer derived from said coating composition.
