Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a coating device capable of preventing the occurrence of distortion in the shape of a coating region in a sheet member. [Solution] A coating device (50) comprises: a suction roller peripheral wall (114a) (a substrate (70)) for mounting thereon a thin film-shaped electrolyte membrane (21) (a sheet member (60)) having flexibility; a suction part (80) for attaching the electrolyte membrane by suction to the suction roller peripheral wall; and a coating mechanism (90) for coating the electrolyte membrane attached by suction to the suction roller peripheral wall by the suction part with catalyst ink (91) (material). The electrolyte membrane is provided with a coating region (62) to be coated with the catalyst ink within a range from a central section to the inner side of an outer peripheral edge (61). The suction part attaches the electrolyte membrane by suction to the suction roller peripheral wall in the coating region to be coated with the catalyst ink, and attaches the electrolyte membrane by suction to the suction roller peripheral wall (114a) in a range (63) beyond the coating region.
