Abstract:
Provided is a coating film having not only superior infrared light reflection properties and visible light transmission properties but also high radio wave transmission properties, and further having low haze. Provided is an article having the coating film. The coating film is fabricated using a coating material composition. The coating material composition contains tabular pigment particles and a resin component. The tabular pigment particles include a laminate of a dielectric layer and a metal thin-film layer. In the laminate, the dielectric layer and the metal thin-film layer are alternately layered, and the dielectric layer is positioned outermost in the laminate. The tabular pigment particles each have an aspect ratio of 10-400. The pigment surface density of the tabular pigment particles in the coating film is 50-300%. The coating film has a thickness of 1 μm or more. The article includes the coating film.
